Melanated in America showcases, supports, promotes and tells the stories of everything Melanated in America. We are a full service production company that strives to tell the true stories of Melanated people, by Melanated people!
Melanated In America is also a web series which follows six African American friends as they agree and disagree while supporting each other as they go through the difficult and sometimes hilarious issues and joys of being Melanated In America.

Natalie Battles | Founder- Director- Producer- Lead VideographerBattles is a talented creative born and raised in the Chicagoland area. Her background ranges from different roles in the theater and film industry to radio hosting. Her mission is to create content that inspires discussion and change to amplify the voices and stories of melanated people.

Vanessa Glover | Co-Writer- Assistant DirectorGlover is a Senior at Columbia College Chicago studying Television Production and Directing . She has a background with writing for plays and television. Her passions include: acting, directing, writing and performing music and poetry.

TiaReenea Simon | Co-WriterSimon is a graduate of Chicago State University where she studied Communication with a concentration in Media Arts. She has background in writing plays, talk radio, and filming short videos. Creative writing has her heart.

Terrell "Dot" Davis | Videographer- EditorDavis is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago where he studied Cinema Arts and Science. His background is in Cinematography, Video Editing, and Filmmaking. He is the founder of "Dot Visions."

Dionne Victoria | CurationDionne Victoria is a Chicago artist whose artwork is a meditative tool to heal and express the internal landscape of the soul in an external world. Currently her art can be viewed at the Zhou B Art Center where her studio is located. Her community-based organization the Butterfly Community focuses on change through the three E’s: Education, Exhibitions and Entrepreneurship.
